Beauty/Sprit/FitnessUpdates

1. Stopped using Burt's Bees lip balm for a while. Started again. Lips now horribly chapped. Um.
2. Very very very sorry I colored my hair. Yes I know you're still waiting for pictures. It's so cotton candy dry; I'm working on repairing it. God forbid you see a less than perfect reveal picture. Remind me of this next time I get a bee in my bonnet to avoid dealing with move stress by coloring my hair.
3. The author of my prayer book has a new book about Weight Loss and the connection to spirituality. Of course I'll be buying it. There's an excerpt in the latest issue of O, if you're interested. It's vaguely along the lines of this. More about it from Amazon:

A Course in Weight Loss addresses the true causal root of your weight-loss issues: a place within you where you have forgotten your divine perfection. This forgetfulness has confused not only your mind but also your body, making you reach for that which cannot sustain you . . . and reject that which does. As your mind reclaims its spiritual intelligence, your body will reclaim its natural intelligence as well.
The 21 lessons in this audiobook will take you on a deep, sacred journey. One step at a time, you will learn to shift your relationship with yourself—and your body—from one of fear to one of love. And you will begin to integrate the various parts of yourself—mind, body, and spirit—to become, once again, and in all ways, the beautiful and peaceful person you were created to be.
As Williamson states: “When it comes to your enjoyment of eating, your best days are not behind you but ahead of you!” So get ready to begin a new relationship with food . . . and with yourself.

4. Ordinarily I'd flog myself for #3, but with my new therapist I'm starting to really appreciate my incessant curiosity to figure stuff out. It's an admirable quality!
5. Man, am I feeling out of shape from walking the hills at the new place.
6. Related: I will be joining the gym very very soon. When we have more unpacked and things are starting to feel more sane, I might do some basic squats and pushups just to get started. Really anything would help at this point. I'm walking home from work today.
7. Also: Charlotte is doing the Female Body Breakthrough plan and I'm thinking about doing it again. I've said I'm over the rigid routines. I am. But I'm also realizing that someone named HL is the primary source for the insane rigidity. Newsflash.
8. Related: I'm doing some hard work reconciling this dichotomy of either making decisions for me/drawing boundaries/eating clean/work out/stay on track self with self-sabotaging/pleasing others all the time/putting others first self. Hard work but it's so long overdue.
